About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the procurement of milling equipment dated 10/5/26. The government seeks to acquire one compact, high-speed machining system capable of producing intricate parts efficiently within a limited workspace. The system must provide a user-friendly operating environment with intuitive controls, rapid setup, and plug-and-play functionality to support streamlined machining operations in a laboratory setting with space constraints.

The required machining system must be a standalone floor unit no wider than 32 inches with a working area of at least 18" x 15" x 5" (XxYxZ). Technical specifications include 220–240 volts single-phase power, a 2kW 40,000rpm high-frequency spindle with 8mm collet, touchscreen-based control system with intuitive operating software, 3D machining simulation capability, 24-tool automatic changer with automatic tool measurement, handheld remote control with machine override functions, touchscreen monitor terminal, integrated camera for workpiece identification, integrated touch probe for workpiece registration, internal spindle cooling system with pump and reservoir, microjet mist coolant system with 2-liter tank and two nozzles, and vacuum work holding ports with compressed air connections. The vendor shall deliver one fully assembled system with all specified standard features and accessories, provide delivery to the designated site, perform installation and startup assistance, furnish operator documentation and basic user training, and supply warranty information and technical support contact details.
