About this file

This document is an Addendum to Request for Quotation (RFQ) 24-001 issued by the City of Commerce for the Bowden Street Tank Painting and Inspection project. The addendum addresses questions regarding permits and business licenses required for the project. It states that a permit is only needed if there is electrical work, and a business license is required if the bidder does not have a Georgia state license, with a prorated price of $75 if the work is completed before the end of the year or a full price of $125 if the work begins or carries over to 2024. The addendum must be signed and returned with the proposal, and failure to do so may result in the proposal being deemed non-responsive.

The addendum provides clarification on the licensing requirements for the project, including the potential cost implications depending on when the work is performed. Bidders should review this information carefully and ensure they are in compliance with the stated requirements prior to submitting their proposals.

ADDENDUM #7

RFQ 24-001

Bowden Street Tank Painting and Inspection

This addendum is being issued to address questions submitted on RFQ 24-001

Q1. We will be bidding on the city’s water tank renovation project next week and would like to know if any permits or business licenses would be required?

A2. A permit will only be needed if there is electrical work being done. A business license depends on a couple things. First, if you have a Georgia license, we will not require a local license. If you have an out of state license, then you will need to get another one from us. Depending on when the work will be done, the price can vary. If you plan to do it before the year’s end, we have a prorated price of $75. If work begin or carry over to 2024, the full price of $125 will be required.

This addendum should be signed and returned with your proposal. Failure to do so may result in the proposal being non-responsive.
