Bidders must demonstrate federal and state regulatory compliance for the preceding forty-eight months and submit a minimum of four references from similar-sized institutions. OSU's disposal method preferences are ranked as: recycling/reuse, fuels substitution, incineration, wastewater treatment, and landfill. The hazardous waste types include flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, corrosives, toxics, sulfides, mercury compounds, pesticides, reactives, pressurized containers, and scintillation fluid solvents; radioactive wastes and silver recovery are excluded. Evaluation will be conducted using a "Best Value" methodology with consideration of cost, scope of work proposed, experience and compliance, schedule and timing, and value-added services.
