About this file
This Request for Proposals (RFP) document is issued by L'Anse Creuse Public Schools (LCPS), a Michigan school district, for the procurement of emergency strobe lights to be integrated with existing P.A. systems across multiple school buildings. The project involves the purchase and installation of intercom system modifications, with products required to be compatible with the district's current intercom systems. Sealed bids must be submitted no later than 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018, delivered in person or by mail to Ms. Rochelle Gauthier, Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations, at the Harry L. Wheeler Community Center and Administrative Offices in Clinton Township, Michigan. Bidders must submit one original copy and two additional copies (one electronic) of their bid response, signed by a company representative. The RFP does not specify a formal site visit or bidder's conference, though potential bidders are instructed to contact Randy Baker, Interim Manager of Operations, with questions at least five business days prior to the bid opening. No award date or contract term length is explicitly stated in the document.
Bidders must include all costs associated with purchase, delivery, setup, installation, and removal of packing materials, with no sales tax included as the district is tax-exempt. Payment terms are 100 percent within 30 days of satisfactory installation completion. The district reserves the right to extend all contract terms, conditions, specifications, and pricing to other Macomb County public K-12 school districts through a cooperative purchase agreement, subject to mutual consent. Vendors must provide proof of adequate Workers' Compensation and Commercial General Liability Insurance (minimum one million dollars per occurrence) and must certify compliance with Michigan Act No. 517 regarding Iran-linked businesses and disclose any familial relationships with district board members or key personnel. All products must be new, with literature, specifications, brand names, model numbers, and manufacturer information included in bid submissions. Training costs, if applicable, must be clearly itemized and described.
