About this file
This is an RFP note document prepared by the Building, Safety, Engineering and Environmental Department (BSEED) for inclusion in a request for proposals related to emergency demolition services for a property located at 7601 Rosa Parks in an unspecified jurisdiction. The project involves the demolition of a two-story brick building formerly belonging to an adjacent church that sustained severe and destructive fire damage, including complete roof collapse, interior collapse to the basement level, structurally unsound exterior brick walls with cracks and loose bricks, and dangerously unstable fire-damaged brick chimneys. The building has been ordered demolished as of 2014, posted for emergency demolition, and presents an immediate public safety hazard due to the risk of structural failure and collapse near the street and sidewalk right-of-way. The RFP emphasizes that emergency timelines must be met regardless of whether frost laws are in effect.
No specific pricing terms, set-asides, contract duration, site visit schedules, response deadlines, or funding information is provided in this document. The document serves as supporting notes for inclusion in the formal RFP and references an attached inspector's report and supporting documents that contain additional details regarding the property condition and demolition requirements.

Notes to Include in the RFP BSEED Inspector Description: See attached supporting documents and inspector's report below.
Out on fire run, found 2-story brick building belonging to the adjacent church, vacant and open to trespass and elements at all sides, found severe and destructive fire damage to most of the building structure, roof completely collapsed and most of the building’s interior has collapsed to first floor and basement creating an open hole hazard. damaged exterior brick walls with cracks and loose bricks have lost the structural support of the collapsed roof and interior walls and floors, these fire damaged brick walls became structurally unsound and could collapse at any time near the street / sidewalk ROW endangering public safety, remaining severely fire damaged supporting structural members (joists, studs, beams, and columns) could fail at any time and cause further building collapse.
Damaged brick chimneys are structurally unsound, dangerously unstable and their collapse is imminent.
Subject fire damage and partially collapsed structure is open and dangerous, a blight, and a public safety hazard.
