RFP Attachment 05 – 57 IS Proficiency Quiz

FA7037-23-R-0002

57 Intelligence Squadron

Sensor Beam 2024 Mission Proficiency Evaluation

The 57 IS mission is heavily involved in radar capabilities and theory, generation of mission planning threat files, and maintenance of the Combat Support Data Base (CSDB), as well as data and models for the United States Electromagnetic Systems (USELMS) database supporting Electronic Warfare reprogramming for accurate threat identification. The following questions are designed to assess your team's ability to satisfy the 57 IS mission requirement.

In a separate document, please select the best answer or provide a short answer as necessary.

You're also welcome to include notes or additional comments as needed. The US Government will review your responses in addition to your corporation's capabilities to meet 57 IS mission requirements. Again, thank you for your interest and good luck!

Multiple Choice Questions:

1) What SERF model do you use to add polarization major axis tilt data for a radar system?

a. Radar

b. Antenna

c. Platform

d. Generic System

2) Which logic flow control entity is used in Transition Logic Map (TLM) construction when the current path must finish prior to the change occurring?

a. Asynchronous Interrupt

Short Answer Questions:

10) USELMS aircraft files are integrated into which two IMD community C&P model dictionaries?

11) USELMS military communications systems are analyzed with an underlying goal of providing unique platform-specific range capability and of preventing electromagnetic spectrum interference with other systems within the battlespace.

a. Describe communication system components which would need to be evaluated.

b. Describe the types of parameters you would expect to see.

12) What is required for modeling and simulating an aircraft’s Radar Cross Section (RCS) and for an aircraft’s InfraRed (IR) signature?
