About this file

This is a Price Proposal Request for Proposals attachment for the Archie Briggs Forest Health and Fuels Reduction Project, administered by the Bend Park and Recreation District in coordination with the City of Bend, Oregon. The project encompasses approximately 24.5 acres of forest health and fuels reduction work in the Archie Briggs Canyon Natural Area, with the objective of improving forest resiliency, reducing wildfire risk, and restoring ecological balance. The scope of work includes three primary tasks: slashing and hand-piling trees and vegetation under 8 inches in diameter with covering for future burning across 24.5 acres; cutting marked trees over 8 inches in diameter with core wood removal and slash addition to on-site piles across 24.5 acres; and burning piles during fall/winter 2027 across 24.5 acres. Proposers must provide unit costs for each task and calculate the total proposed price for the entire project.

Pricing shall be submitted on a lump sum basis with unit price amounts that represent a true measure of labor and materials required to perform the work, including all allowances for overhead and profit. Proposers are required to certify that they have become completely familiar with local conditions, legal requirements, work site conditions, and all RFP requirements and issued addenda before submitting their proposals. The authorized representative must sign and date the price proposal, providing their printed name and title. The project represents a collaborative effort between the Bend Park and Recreation District and the City of Bend to address forest health and fuel hazard mitigation in the specified natural area.
