About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 for RFP-25-002-RS, issued by the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida, related to Professional Architectural & Engineering Services for various city buildings. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to potential bidders' questions, indicating the city is seeking a full-service architectural and engineering team to provide comprehensive design services. The city historically selects two firms to provide a full suite of engineering and design services across multiple disciplines including architectural, MEP/FP, structural, and civil engineering. While the specific number of projects is undetermined, the city expects firms to be capable of handling projects across various disciplines, with the primary firm potentially utilizing partner firms for additional expertise.
As of the addendum date (February 26, 2025), there are no open budgeted FY2025 design projects, suggesting the contract is prospective in nature. The city is seeking firms that can assemble comprehensive teams covering all required disciplines, with previous contracts featuring a primary firm supplemented by partner firms for additional specialized services. The procurement approach allows for flexibility, with the potential for an awarded firm to be assigned projects primarily in one discipline (such as MEP), whether those services are provided in-house or through subcontractors. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum and may need to revise their electronic submissions or return a signed addendum to the city's Procurement Division.

Addendum No. 1
DATE: February 26, 2025 TO: All Interested Bidders and Other Interested Parties FROM: Krisha Yurkiewicz, Procurement Specialist
The City makes the following changes, additions, deletions, information, and/or clarifications and now considers the addendum a part of the Request for Proposal (RFP) Document.
Proposers/Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by indicating receipt in the space provided on the Proposal Bid Form. If the bidder has already submitted the Proposal Bid Form to the City’s Procurement Division, the Bidder should sign and return this addendum in a sealed envelope or revise their electronic submission to include this addendum. The envelope should include the company name and address, the bid number, opening date and time, and "Addendum No: 1". In any case, the submission of a bid is acknowledgment of receipt of the addendum. The City will construe all bids received as though the Proposer/Bidder has received and acknowledged the addendum.
Below is the City’s reply to RFIs (Request for Information – a/k/a bid inquiries or questions) submitted by interested parties by the posted deadline to submit RFIs.
Q1: For the A/E Services Contract, would the City of Altamonte Springs like our firm to assemble a full service team covering all disciplines listed in the scope of work for the contract or are we able to submit to specific disciplines that our firm includes in-house?
A1: We are looking for a full-service team that covers all of the disciplines. Previous contracts have had the Primary with partner firms included for other disciplines.
Q2: Please confirm it is the intent to award one contact to a combined A/E team or if contracts will be awarded separately on a per discipline basis, ie. Architectural, MEP/FP Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc.
A2: We have historically selected two firms. Each firm should offer a full suite of engineering and design services. For example, an awarded firm could be assigned a project that is primarily MEP discipline, whether MEP is in-house, or sub-contract to the awarded firm.
Q3: Can the city identify what projects or types of projects are anticipated as part of this agreement at this time?
A3: Please refer to section 6.1.2 of the RFP document: “Services to be Provided”
Q4: How many projects are anticipated to be included?
A4: Undetermined
(Continued on next page)
Q5: Will more than one design firm be selected for the RFP?
A5: We have historically selected two firms.
Q6: Has the money for the design and/or construction already been allocated by the City?
A6: As of this time, there are no open budgeted FY2025 Design Projects.
