About this file

This is Addendum 3 to RFP 013-22 for Summer Enrichment Programs issued by Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) in Jonesboro, Georgia. The addendum addresses 34 questions and clarifications submitted by prospective vendors regarding three distinct summer program offerings: the Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA), STEM camps, and Advanced Learning Academy (ALA) programs. The SEA program runs for 8 face-to-face days and 2 virtual days across 4 days per week at 5 hours daily, serving approximately 1,600 students in grades 1-8, with approximately 30% requiring intervention services. Elementary STEM instructional times are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, while secondary STEM runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, held during the last two weeks of June at multiple school sites for 7-8 days at 4 days per week. The ALA program operates for 5 days per week at 5 hours daily, providing algebra support to 8th graders. The contract term is for one year with two renewal options. Approximately 180 teachers are expected to work in the SEA program, with student-teacher ratios of 1:15 or 1:20 for STEM and ALA programs. The RFP solicits multiple vendors rather than a single provider.

Instructional delivery responsibility varies by program: CCPS teachers deliver SEA curriculum while STEM and ALA instruction depends on program requirements, with vendors potentially providing instructional staff. ELA and Math are taught in 2-hour daily blocks, and CCPS will accept non-computer-based, teacher-led programs with hands-on materials for the SEA program. Virtual professional development is preferred for SEA, while STEM and ALA programs prefer virtual but will consider in-person depending on group size, with train-the-trainer models not supported. Vendors are not required to have all staff identified at the time of Notice of Award and may hire staff prior to summer upon award. Prospective vendors may submit their own W9 forms, letters of recommendation in addition to reference forms, and may use pending business license applications accompanied by state registration documentation to satisfy business license requirements. All proposal edits and changes must be completed and submitted prior to the final deadline of February 18 at 3:00 pm.
