Menard Correctional Center – White Sheeting Bid #26-426DOC-MENAR-B-50733 Amendment #1 Response to Vendor’s Questions to Bid Buy Line Items
Below is the response to the questions that IDOC has received regarding the Bid Buy Line item:
1. Vendor: What is the delivery timeframe for the sample?
Answer: Time is of the essence, and the sample should be submitted once the sample has been requested. The contract term ends on 9/30/2026. The vendor will need to allow time for sample approval and shipping of product.
2. Are material lab tests required?
Answer: Material lab tests are not required.
3. Is there an old PO for the same/similar material you can share including pricing and the awardee?
Answer: Any previous bids for white sheeting can be found via BidBuy.
4. If prices are quoted FOB destination, how will shipping overage be calculated (if necessary)?
Answer: Section 1.5.1 reads that Pricing for the material must be F.O.B. DESTINATION with all transportation and handling included and paid by the vendor. The vendor needs to include the freight/shipping cost in the pricing. Overage or not, vendor pays for shipping cost.
5. Does the request include fabric construction – yarn details, density, plain/satin?
Answer: The material needs to be plain weaved, finished tuck, no fringe, economy grade.
6. How many rolls do they want on each pallet?
Answer: The rolls should be long ways on the skid. No more than 25 per skid and not stacked higher than 6 feet.
7. Do you need T130 or T180 thread count?
8. Answer: T180 thread count
