About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) #2 is for Contract Number 3CA07152 with CAL FIRE regarding Fire Suppression Loading & Pit Replacement. The document addresses contractor questions about underground piping materials, with questions due by February 18, 2025, and program responses due by February 21, 2025. The RFI specifically addresses material requirements for underground storm drain and water lines referenced in Sheet C4.2, Keynotes #2 and #5.
The program response specifies that all unregulated pressure piping coming from the water main line must use C900 DR18, as lower pressure classes rated for 200 and 165 psi would be insufficient. For non-pressured underground storm drain lines, C900 DR 32.5 is specified as sufficient. Both specifications align with the provided requirements for C900 underground piping.
