About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) #1 for Contract Number 3CA07152 issued by CALFIRE regarding Fire Suppression Loading & Pit Replacement. The document contains nine contractor questions and program responses regarding technical specifications, with questions due by 02/18/2025 and program responses due by 02/21/2025. The project involves utility trenching, panel removal and replacement, tank pad demolition, AC paving removal, concrete work, and storm trap system installation. Key specifications include an 18-inch thickness for current tank pad demolition, requirements for full panel removal in trenching areas, and implementation of Detail 4 on Sheet C8.1 for concrete tie-ins.

Critical technical requirements specified include 6 inches of compacted (95%) Class II Base under the trench structure, low profile barricades around the work area, and matching existing grade with tooled finished edges for spalled areas. The document indicates pending updates for storm trap system details, which currently show discrepancies between drawings (317' x 28' vs. 233' x 398' layouts). A geotechnical report detailing AC paving thicknesses is referenced but not included in the provided documentation.
