About this file

This document outlines the requirements for a Report of Shipment (REPSHIP) related to the transportation of hazardous materials and inert component parts within and from the continental United States and overseas locations. Key details include:

The REPSHIP must include 15 data elements providing shipment details such as the shipment date, estimated time of arrival, required delivery date, carrier, bill of lading number, military traffic number, air or export release number, shipment name, container information, security risk category, controlled item inventory code, total net explosive weight, hazard classifications, and contact information. Notes provide guidance on including information for multiple shipment units or conveyances in the same REPSHIP and emphasizing that lot numbers and identification codes are not mandatory but can be included if available.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base to procure MJU-75/B countermeasure flares. Responsible sources may submit bids or proposals, but foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level. The solicitation requires first article testing and engineering source approval to maintain quality. Alternate sources must qualify through the design control activity's procedures approved by the cognizant government engineering activity.
