About this file
This Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) outlines requirements for a First Article Qualification Test Plan and Procedures deliverable under a contract with the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center. The contractor must submit a test plan within 30 calendar days of award to obtain approval of plans for qualifying the MJU-75/B countermeasure flare, a magnesium, teflon, and viton flare comprised of an aluminum case, safe and initiation device, ignition pellet, and main energetic grain. Distribution of the test plan is restricted to the Department of Defense and contractors, and it must be submitted and approved electronically prior to any design changes. The Air Force seeks this countermeasure via solicitation FA8213-21-R-3034 to maintain quality and source control as the design requires existing engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge held by approved sources.
