REFRIGERANT GAS SERVICES - BID #26-0063
ADDENDUM #1
This Addendum is to provide the following responses to questions posed and a revised bid form.
Question 1: I reviewed all the documents, but I don't see the actual gas you are purchasing and looking to reclaim. Can you please direct me to that list?
Answer 1: Various types of refrigerants will be purchased and reclaimed. A revised bid form has been attached.
Question 2: Are you requiring a vendor to come to the physical site and perform recovery from the chiller?
Answer 2: No. We would want the reclaim bottles dropped off at the chiller and have our Contractor remove the refrigerant due to any potential damage, then once filled we would have them picked up for cleaning.
Question 3: Is the recovered refrigerant already in cylinders and you want the vendor to pick them up and clean the refrigerant?
Answer 3: Yes. Sometimes we will not be wanting the refrigerant back.
Question 4: Regarding purchasing refrigerant are you looking for a vendor to come on site and put the refrigerant in the chiller?
Answer 4: No.
Question 5: Will you be buying the refrigerant and putting it into the chiller yourselves?
Answer 5: Yes.
Question 6: Recoveries: Which refrigerant types would be recovered?
Answer 6: R-22, 134-A, and 410-A.
Question 7: Recoveries: What is the minimum volume (lbs) for each recovery? If that is unknown, how do I stipulate a minimum cost per recovery?
Answer 7: Should be per pound plus the recovery cylinder core fee.
Question 8: Refrigerant Reclamation: Which refrigerant types would be reclaimed?
Answer 8: R-22, 134-A, and 410-A.
Materials Management Purchasing Department 101 Old Venice Road, Osprey, FL 34229 Phone 941-486-2183 ▪ Fax 941-486-2188
Question 9: Refrigerant Reclamation: What is the minimum volume (lbs) for each reclaim batch? If that is unknown, how do I stipulate a minimum cost per reclamation?
Answer 9: This will fluctuate with the size of chillers, should be billed per pound.
Question 10: Recovery cylinders: How many of each cylinder size are required?
Answer 10: This will depend on the chiller capacity.
Question 11: Recovery cylinders: Over what time period?
Answer 11: For in house recovery jobs – normally we purchase a cylinder of a job specific size needed and fill it up ourselves and return it for another empty. We then decide if we want that refrigerant cleaned for our own re-use or disposed. For chiller replacements – if we plan on keeping the refrigerant that’s in the chiller after it’s cleaned, then we would need to purchase the tanks unless turning in for a credit.
Question 12: Refrigerant Purchases: Which refrigerant types would be purchased?
Answer 12: R-22, 410-A, 134-A, and R-454B.
Question 13: Refrigerant Purchases: What time period?
Answer 13: As needed.
Question 14: Refrigerant Purchases: How many pounds of each?
Answer 14: This will fluctuate with chiller repairs.
