About this file
This is a bid form for refrigerant gas services issued by the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida under Bid #26-0063. The School Board seeks to establish firm fixed pricing for the recycling, disposal, and recovery of different types of refrigerants, along with firm percentage markups on the purchase of refrigerants on an as-needed basis. The bid form requests pricing for refrigerant recovery per pound, refrigerant reclamation with cleaning and return to the School Board for reuse per pound, and refrigerant disposal per pound. Additionally, bidders must provide pricing for the initial purchase of empty cylinders in three sizes: 30-pound, 50-pound, and 125-pound cylinders. The form also requires hourly labor rates for both standard working hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and non-standard working hours (Monday through Friday before 7:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday), with all rates to include overhead and profit.
Pricing terms include a maximum 25 percent markup on refrigerant purchases over wholesale prices and maximum 10 percent markups on parts and materials, rental equipment, and subcontractor services. For subcontracted services, the subcontractor must be EPA certified, and itemized invoices from the subcontractor must be submitted with all billings. Supplier invoices are required at the time of billing to verify all markups. All invoices shall be billed on a cost-plus basis except during a declared disaster, when no markup is permitted. The bid form specifies that rental equipment payment is limited to active use only, with no payment allowed for inactive equipment use.
