The project involves the removal and replacement of damaged guardrails and associated components located at milepost 107.9-110.1 on the westbound side of the highway's southbound shoulder. Questions and Answers 8/31/2026:

1. For traffic control requirements, is ODOT amenable to the use of Portable Temporary Traffic Signal devices? No. There is no need for that. There are two lanes and they only need to take one.

2. Does ODOT have any requirements for pedestrian crosswalks or access/channelization? Yes, ODOT does have requirements for crosswalks and access

3. What is maximum work zone length allowed for single lane closure? There is not an official maximum for a lane closure. The last sign is good for 1 mile

4. What signage will ODOT require? ODOT will require all signs from the 2026 OTTCH

5. Will ODOT allow for removal of all guardrail and replacement afterword, meaning old guardrail is removed and not replaced same shift, so long as the highway remains under 24 hour work zone closure? There are 2 sections of rail, we are okay with the removal of one section at a time. The lane cannot be closed for 24hours.

6. Does ODOT have specific working hour restrictions? There is not a restriction for that area with multiple lanes
