About this file

This document is an addendum to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) for the purchase of four (4) new high-speed scanners. The addendum provides clarification on the requirement for an "active stacker" feature, which refers to the output hopper designed to keep the scanned documents aligned for post-scan handling. All other terms and conditions of the original IFB remain in effect.

The project seeks to procure four (4) new high-speed scanners with a standard manufacturer warranty and three (3) years of on-site maintenance. The equipment must be new, and refurbished or used equipment will not be accepted. The IFB was originally issued on October 17, 2023, and this addendum is to be acknowledged in accordance with the IFB's instructions.

1. What are they looking for with an ‘active stacker’? Is this referencing the input hopper (can load up to 750 pages) or the output hopper where the plate can be adjusted to four different angles to keep papers in order. Or are they looking for output papers to be sorted?:

A. This is referencing the output hopper to keep the documents aligned for post scan handling.
