Memorandum – Vendor Questions & VDOT Answers for QQ58831
Date February 14, 2024
The following questions were received from a vendor:
I have reviewed the bid documents and have a few questions pertaining to the referenced solicitation.
• What is the requested delivery date for this structure? Answer: Within 30 days of Award.
• Note 3 under Section IV states that the pipe should have haunch & crown ribs. I assume that this is an old note from a previous solicitation that required a structural plate structure. Can you please confirm?
Answer: Crown and haunch ribs are not required.
• Note 5 under Section IV states that the culvert stub should be 0.200” thick. I assume that this note is also from a previous solicitation that required a structural plate structure and that the culvert stubs should be the same gauge that is specified on the sketch that was provided within the bid documents (10 Gauge). Answer: The stub can be the same gauge (10) specified on the sketch.
