About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation FA465426Q0007, issued by Grissom Air Reserve Base on June 4, 2026, regarding a Tank Replacement Project for an Above-Storage Tank (AST).

The document addresses five clarifying questions from potential contractors regarding the AST replacement work. Key specifications and project requirements include: tank dimensions of 4 feet wide by 4 feet 6 inches high by 6 feet 6 inches long; an access opening approximately 5 feet wide between trees and the exterior building wall to avoid attachments to the building; a requirement for a separate line item for tank painting, as the existing tank currently has only a primer coat; photographic documentation of the AST area access; and strict environmental protocols requiring that any broken tree branches be removed and trimmed back to the trunk with no tolerance for minor damage. The questions and answers clarify the scope and constraints contractors must address in their proposals, particularly regarding confined space access, equipment specifications, and site conditions.
