About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Solicitation FA465426Q0007 regarding the Grissom Air Reserve Base Tank Replacement Project, dated June 30, 2026. The Q&A addresses eight inquiries from potential contractors regarding project specifications and government responsibilities.
Key details include: the replacement tank weighs 1,450 lbs per manufacturer specifications, while the weight of the existing tank is unknown. The contractor is responsible for cleaning the tank interior from the top down to remove residual material and debris prior to pumping contents into drums, but steam cleaning is not required. The government will handle disposal of government-furnished barrels containing residual liquid and waste. The contractor must provide all materials necessary for connection to existing infrastructure, including piping, unions, and parts, as the government has none available. Bonding is not required for this project. Base-specific recycling procedures and a map or latitude/longitude coordinates of the building location will be provided to the contractor following contract award.
