About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details preventive maintenance and technical safety inspection services for pressure systems, compressed air tanks, and expansion vessels at United States Army Garrison (USAG) Bavaria locations including Grafenwoehr Tower Barracks, Vilseck Rose Barracks, Hohenfels Training Area, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The contract requires the contractor to conduct mandatory technical safety inspections in accordance with German Betriebssicherheitsverordnung regulations, with interior testing required every five years and pressure strength testing at least every ten years.

The technical safety inspections must be performed by an authorized technical inspection organization (ZÜS), such as TÜV or DEKRA, to obtain safety certificates. The contractor is responsible for pre-inspection maintenance work, annual maintenance of compressors, and ensuring all work meets specified performance standards. The inspection and maintenance scope covers multiple air compressors and expansion vessels across different categories, with varying capacities ranging from 90 to 35,000 liters and working pressures between 10-16 bars. The contract emphasizes strict compliance with German safety regulations, thorough documentation, and maintaining operational safety of pressure systems across the military garrison's facilities.
