3.2 CONTAMINATION DEFINITION: Contamination is defined by the presence of visible bat guano (Tier 1). Areas with staining or a persistent odor suggestive of bat guano (Tier 2) will be assessed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to determine the need for remediation

3.3 PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES AND STANDARDS:

3.3.1 Removal of Bat guano and Contaminated Materials: Following remediation, a visual inspection by the Project Manager shall confirm the absence of visible bat guano, staining, and https://www.wbdg.org/ffc/af-afcec/installation-facilities-standards-ifs/ellsworth-afb-ifs contaminated materials (including insulation) from all attic surfaces (e.g., rafters, flooring, ductwork). The Contractor shall ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned to remove all traces of bat guano and associated debris. Photographic documentation of the 'before' and 'after' conditions of each affected area shall be provided to the Project Manager within five (5) days of completion of the remediation in that area. The work will be considered acceptable when the documentation and the Project Manager's inspection confirm the absence of visible guano, staining, and contaminated materials.
