About this file
The document is a comprehensive project specification and measurement and payment document for the 2022 CDBG Street Improvements Project issued by the City of Plant City, Florida's Engineering Department. The project involves street improvements in the Forest Park neighborhoods, specifically milling and resurfacing approximately 3.2 lane miles across 8 streets, totaling around 19,000 square yards. The work includes milling existing asphalt pavement, installing new Superpave 9.5 surface course, replacing road base at specific locations, and reconstructing concrete curbs, sidewalks, and ADA ramps. The project will utilize Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding and requires adherence to federal requirements.
The contract includes 22 distinct bid items covering various aspects of the project, such as bonds and insurance, mobilization, maintenance of traffic, sediment and erosion control, milling, asphalt placement, base replacement, concrete work, striping, and performance turf installation. Payment will be made based on unit prices and measured quantities, with some items paid as lump sum percentages of project completion. The specifications detail precise requirements for materials, installation methods, testing, and quality standards, referencing Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards and specifications. The project aims to improve street infrastructure while maintaining strict quality control and following federal grant requirements.
