About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 212782 from the City of Tucson's Business Services Department, Shared Services Procurement Division, seeking a contractor for hazardous waste disposal services. The price page attachment details an extensive list of 75 different types of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials that require disposal, including items such as absorbent materials contaminated with gasoline, liquid pesticides, chemical solvents, batteries, mercury-containing devices, and various other industrial and laboratory waste. The document provides pricing structures for disposal of these materials in different container sizes (5-gallon buckets, 30-gallon drums, 55-gallon drums) and different packaging methods (bulk, loose pack, lab pack).
The pricing page allows bidders to specify disposal costs for each waste type, with variations based on sludge percentage, container size, and packaging method. The City has estimated annual quantities for many items, such as 225 drums of latex paint sludge, 100 pounds of lithium batteries, and 2,800 pounds of nickel-cadmium batteries. The document also includes labor rates for additional work on an as-needed basis, with separate rates for technicians and drivers, and provisions for additional materials like metal over-pack drums, vermiculite, and clay absorbent. The proposal is dated 3/16/22 and seeks a comprehensive waste disposal contract that allows flexibility in waste type and quantity while providing clear pricing structures for various disposal scenarios.
