The contract, Bid No. ###-####-X, is for Annual Water and Reclaimed Water Repair and Extensions covering fiscal years 2024-2026, with the intent to repair, rehabilitate, and replace potable and reclaimed water pipes throughout the county. The contract will be awarded to the top-ranked firm for a not-to-exceed amount of $X,XXX,XXX, with a 730-consecutive calendar day completion timeline. The project will be funded through the Water/Sewer Fund, with an engineer's estimate of $5,782,277.50. The contract strategy focuses on efficiency by consolidating multiple smaller infrastructure projects into a single work-order contract, which reduces overall construction time and provides cost benefits to the county. The approach also allows flexibility to address unanticipated infrastructure needs, such as emergency failures. Key project managers include Carlos Solis (Project Manager), Misael Munoz (Maintenance Division Director), Jeremy Waugh (Utilities Director), and Merry Celeste (Purchasing Director). The contract aligns with the county's strategic plan objectives of fostering economic growth, investing in infrastructure, and delivering first-class public services.
