About this file
This document is a Special Notice (Appendix 4) for Pinellas County, Florida, pertaining to the Annual Water and Reclaimed Water Repairs and Extensions project for Fiscal Years 2024-2026 (P.I.D. No. 24-1061). The document provides specific instructions for contractors regarding as-built survey requirements and warranties for water infrastructure projects. For any potable water or reclaimed water main replacements spanning 500 linear feet or more, contractors must provide an as-built survey accompanied by Professional Liability insurance coverage, which can be from either the contractor or the sub-contractor performing the survey.
The notice includes additional warranty specifications, indicating that individual work orders representing ten percent (10%) or more of the total awarded contract amount will require their own separate warranty. This aligns with the project's objective of efficiently managing smaller-scale water infrastructure repair, rehabilitation, and replacement projects throughout Pinellas County, using a work-order contract approach that allows for more streamlined project management compared to individually advertising and bidding each small project.
