4. Project Scope of Work Description:
P.H. Hoeft State Park - water, sewer, sanitation station, and toilet/shower (TS) replacement and upgrades are included in this project. The contact station is too small and deteriorating. The toilet/shower buildings lack accessible features and are showing their age, while the sewer and water systems have exceeded their intended design life and need to be addressed to provide updated facilities that meet current sanitation codes. A station replacement and circulation improvements, campground water, sewer, sanitation station, and TS building replacements / upgrades will occur.
Cheboygan State Park - toilet/shower building, Yellow Trail Boardwalk and day use pavilion beam replacement are included in this project. The TS building lacks accessible features and is difficult and expensive to maintain. The beach house pavilion was built in 1974 and includes glue, laminated beam construction. Some of these beams extend beyond the roof eave lines producing increased exposure to the weather and variable climatic conditions. As a result of this exposure two of the beam ends have deteriorated considerably. The Yellow Trail Boardwalk is deteriorating and does not meet the needs of today's grooming equipment.
These projects at P.H. Hoeft and Cheboygan State Parks are combined for synergy in design. Phases 400-500-600-700 for both locations.
All work must be coordinated and integrated with the Construction Manager.
