About this file
This is a Pre-Bid Conference Sign In Sheet for the Sites Paving Project for Franklin County, Virginia. The project involves paving four separate site locations throughout the county, encompassing approximately 8,475 square yards of pavement requiring an estimated 2,300 tons of asphalt. Additional work includes minor grading to connect an existing paved lot to an adjacent parking lot and slurry seal of existing roadway. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference was held on Monday, March 2nd at 11:00 AM at the Franklin County Administration Building located at 1255 Franklin Street, Suite 111, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Sealed bids were due on Monday, March 9th at 2:00 PM local time at the same address, attention Corey White, at which point bids were to be opened and read aloud.
Contract documents were available for examination by appointment at Engineering Concepts, Inc., 94 Greenfield Street, Daleville, Virginia 24083 during normal business hours. Hard copies of the documents could be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $75.00 in the form of a check or money order, while digital copies were available at no charge by emailing bwampler@engineeringconcepts.com. Bidders were required to comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with bids, and bid envelopes were to be clearly marked with the bidder's contractor license number. Should the apparent low bid exceed available funds, the County reserved the right to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds. Additional information was available from Mr. Bobby Wampler at Engineering Concepts, Inc., (540) 473-1253.
