About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Request for Quote (RFQ) S 45900-00014049 for Fire Protection System Services. The Q&A clarifies two key points for potential contractors: first, that the RFQ requires a comprehensive service package including all fire protection services, and contractors cannot bid on partial services; second, that requests for past contracts are considered public records requests and must be processed through the PERS website. The document explicitly states that contractors must be capable of providing all services listed in the RFQ, which includes fire system maintenance, monitoring, and sprinkler testing.
The Q&A document does not provide specific pricing details or set-aside information. However, it indicates that the RFQ is for a single award contract with comprehensive fire protection system services for the PERS building. The full details of the services are referenced as being available in Exhibit 1, Statement of Work. The document emphasizes that potential contractors must be prepared to deliver a full suite of fire protection services and that any additional information about past contracts would require following the public records request process outlined on the PERS website.

PERS Fire Protection System Services
RFQ S 45900-00014049
Q&A
1. If a contractor is not able to provide the Sprinkler Testing can the bid just include Fire System Maintenance Service and Monitoring?
PERS Response: The RFQ statement of work is for all services listed and a single award contract.
The contractor must be able to provide services for all the requirements in the RFQ for Fire Protection System Services.
2. Is it possible to receive past or current Contracts related to the Fire Protection System services?
PERS Response: The RFQ provides the required services for the Fire Protection System at the PERS building and can be found in Exhibit 1, Statement of Work. Past Contracts for this type of work wouldn’t be relevant for the current requirements needed to service the system and the reason a RFQ was issued to cover all required services. The request of past/current Contracts is considered a Public Records request and would need to follow the process for that, which is posted on the PERS website.
