About this file
This document is an addendum to the invitation for bids (IFB) for the construction of a Paint Shop and Spray Room project for the Illinois Secretary of State. The project involves the renovation of an existing pre-engineered metal building located at 315 N. Klein Street, Springfield, Illinois, to convert it from a storage facility into a usable maintenance paint and finishing shop. The addendum modifies the original bidding documents dated April 21, 2023, and provides updates to the specifications, drawings, and project details. Key changes include revisions to the concrete, toilet accessories, excavation, and fire alarm system requirements. The project is intended to be bid and awarded by the State of Illinois, with the general contractor responsible for the construction.
The addendum does not provide details on pricing, set asides, incumbents, funding sources, or contract terms. However, it does indicate that the project is being undertaken by the Illinois Secretary of State, suggesting this is a state-level contract opportunity. The addendum outlines the technical requirements and modifications to the original bid documents, which bidders will need to review and incorporate into their proposals.
