About this file
This document is an AFMC Form 158 (Packaging Requirements) for Purchase Instrument Number FD20302501324-00, Version 4, establishing packaging standards for three line items under Air Force contract. The document specifies compliance with MIL-STD-129 Revision R and MIL-STD-2073-1 Revision E standards for military packaging and marking. All wooden packaging materials, including pallets, skids, boxes, and dunnage, must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Centigrade (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes, with certification by an agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC). This requirement addresses United Nations restrictions on wood packaging material to prevent invasive species such as the pinewood nematode in worldwide shipments.
Three distinct packaging requirement codes (PACRN) are identified: AAA for line items 1680008727023RK and 1680009022196RK, which require MIL Long Line Packaging at Preservation Level MIL and Packaging Level B with specified unit pack dimensions (26.00 x 25.0 x 15.0 x 14.5 inches, 3.146 cubic feet); and AAB and AAC for line items 1680DTH2500F6 and 1680OAH250080 respectively, which require no packaging data. Shipping containers must comply with MIL-STD-129 military marking standards and include any additional markings such as unit serial numbers, OEM names, or OEM model numbers as specified on the AFMC Form 158. The Packaging Specialist is Billy S Real from 406 SCMS/GULAA, contactable at 405-582-9721, with the document signed on 09 JUN 2025.
