The procurement sought qualified architectural and engineering firms to assess and recommend security upgrades for the 5th District Court of Appeal located at 300 South Beach Street in Daytona Beach, Florida. Required security enhancements include bollard installation at the courthouse entrance, creation of a separate security screening area, improvements to the deputy marshal's work area, and installation of electromagnetic doors at courtroom entrances. The contract is scheduled to commence April 10, 2026, with an initial one-year term and potential renewals for up to three additional years based on satisfactory performance. Funding is subject to legislative appropriation under chapter 2024-231, Laws of Florida, section 7, line 3302. Inquiries should be directed to Steven Updike, CPPB, FCPA at updikes@flcourts.gov.
