About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity at Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), involving food service and related support services. Key details include: the contract is performance-based, with no site visit scheduled, and a 60-day period between contract award and performance start. The incumbent workforce consists entirely of third-country nationals (Jamaicans and Filipinos), with no US citizens. The contract is firm-fixed price, with 4 vehicles in use, and housing for contractors based on availability. Unique location-specific requirements include ocean freight from Jacksonville for contractor-furnished items, and potential housing overflow to be managed through NGIS. The Naval hospital will provide a Diet Therapy Technician, and the government emphasizes that staffing levels and specific resources are at contractor discretion. Potential offerors should review Section L & M of the RFP for evaluation criteria, and a new Performance Work Statement (PWS) has been uploaded to address previous inconsistencies.
