In the event that difficulty is encountered in meeting requirements or difficulty is anticipated in complying with the contract schedule dates, immediately notify the Contracting Officer via verbal communication with the MMO. Provide the MMO a written report stating pertinent details as to why requirements cannot be met the following workday. Receipt of this notification by the Government is not to be construed as a waiver of the requirements, delivery schedule, or waiver of rights or remedies provided by law or under this contract, or any other requirements in the PWS relating to jeopardy of contract schedule dates. Submission of this report does not authorize the Contractor to perform additional work not covered by the contract or authorized by the Contracting Officer.
2.36.2. When work does not require a report, and one is determined to be necessary in order to produce a reliable or complete repair, submit one legible copy, in approved transferrable media, of a report with supporting data as early as possible in the contract period to the Contracting Officer, via the MMO. The goal is to have the required work completed within the original contract period.
