When using electrical machinery, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

Read and follow the instructions in this manual prior to first use. Please keep this manual for future reference. Should you need a new copy, please email us at marketing@sanisport.ca or call us at 1- 877-262-5801.

The machine will not function with the door open. Please ensure that the door is closed prior to running the machine.

Please refer to the ozone monitor, affixed to the exterior of the machine, to determine when it is safe to open the cabinet doors.

Do not attempt to repair or modify components without Sani Defenx factory approval. This will void the warranty.

Always operate the Sani Defenx FD on a level surface

No special ventilation is required as the Sani Defenx FD machine is fully enclosed.

PRODUTCS & PARTS

Ozone Generator

This commercial grade ozone generator ensures maximum ozone output. It features a high flow fan and is suitable for high humidity environments.

Ozone Output Electrical Generation Method

10,000 mg/h 120VAC 60Hz UV Bulbs

Dimensions 17" x 6" x 7.3"

Ozone Destruct

Electrical Flow Rate (CFM)

120VAC 60HZ 2A

400 CFM

100,000 HoursFan Life

Your machine has been designed to destruct the ozone in the cabinet in 30 minutes.

Ozone Sensor The ozone sensor is located inside the cabinet. It is inserted into the monitor in order to display PPM throughout the cycle. The sensor will detect ozone from 0-1000 PPM (parts per million).

Ozone Monitor

The ozone monitor is affixed to the exterior of the cabinet and shows the PPM generated throughout the cycle.

Drying Racks

Your machine is accompanied by a set of drying racks which were designed to be outfitted with turnout gear. This custom designed piece is made out of stainless steel. The drying racks can be used inside or outside the cabinet.

OPERATING

Drying Racks

Your drying unit has been designed to accomodate 5 sets of turnout gear.

See images for our suggestion on how to place turnout gear on the skeleton.

Once you have placed all the gear on the skeleton, use the red switch to commence the heating cycle if you are operating the dryer outside the cabinet. (If you have less than 5 sets of gear, cover the empty skeleton with a garbage bag to ensure all heat is directed towards the turnout gear.)

The dryer can also be run inside the cabinet. Start by flipping the green air fan switch

on. Roll the dryer into the cabinet. Plug the dryer into the outlet inside the cabinet and flip the white switch on the exterior of the cabinet. Please do not run the heat cycle inside the cabinet.

The jacket does not have to be zipped up but should be closed as much as possible to ensure that the heat stays inside the gear.

The heater will reach approximately 100 degrees (38 degrees Celsius) after 20 minutes. The heater will shut off automatically as it is set to a timer. The dryer runs a 2-hour cycle.

Cabinet

In order to treat the gear in the cabinet, open the cabinet doors and release the ramp. Gently roll the drying rack all the way to the back of the cabinet and ensure that all controls and boxes are facing left. Lift the ramp back into the cabinet and close the cabinet door. To start the cycle, simply press the on button on the Sani Sport Control Board and then press Cycle.

The ozone destruct system will need to be rebuilt every 2 to 3 years. You will know that it needs to be looked at if the ozone monitor, affixed to the exterior of the cabinet, shows that the ozone is not being reduced down to 0 PPM. The approximate cost to rebuild the unit is $2,000. This price is subject to change. Please allow 4-6 weeks for service.

Please contact us by phone (1-877-262-5801) or by email steve@sanisport.ca to have the ozone destruct unit serviced.

To dismount the ozone destruct, you will need one #2 Phillips head screwdriver, two 7/16 wrenches and one 3/16 Allen Key (L wrench). You will also need two people to remove the ozone destruct.

The ozone cycle will run for 1h30 minutes and will be followed by a 30 minute ozone destruct cycle.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Ozone Destruct Removal

1) Unplug the machine so there is no power

2) Using the #2 Phillips head screwdriver remove the 4 screws holding on the cover of the control box

3) Remove the first white plug (#4), that has 3 prongs, from the back of the control board

4) Remove the wires from the plug

5) Inside the machine, loosen the strain relief holding the wire for the Ozone Destruct Unit and pull the wire through

6) There are 4 bolts holding the brackets that support the Ozone Destruct Unit. The Destruct Unit is heavy and must be supported. The top 2 nuts can be loosened, not removed. With one person outside the cabinet, use a 3/16 Allen Key (L wrench) to hold the head of the bolt while the person inside the cabinet uses a 7/16 wrench to remove the nut. Repeat for the other nut. The brackets can be swiveled out of the way to allow for the removal of the destruct unit.

7) Reverse the procedure to re-install

If you wish to schedule a FaceTime call with our technician to help guide you dismount the generator, please email or call us at any time.

Cleaning the Ozone Generator

The ozone generator should be cleaned once a month.

1) To dismount the unit, start by unplugging the machine so there is no power

2) Using the #2 Phillips head screwdriver, remove the 4 screws holding on the cover of the control box

3) Remove the first white plug (#3), that has 2 prongs, from the back of the control board.

4) Remove the wires from the plug

5) Inside the machine, loosen the strain relief holding the wire for the ozone generator and pull the wire through

Instructions for Cleaning:

1) Unscrew and remove the end cap located at the front of the machine, opposite end of the timer

a. You will need a 7/16 nut driver to take out the 2 black nylon bolts on the black end cap

b. Take the end cap off the machine and set it to the side, along with the bolts

2) Once the end cap is off, you will be seeing horizontal glass tubes. Unscrew the two screws and nuts from the top and the one from the side, carefully pull the cell block out of the unit utilizing the lip at the top of the cell block

3) Wipe down all the glass tubes with an alcohol moistened wipe, making sure to wipe all sides including between tube

4) If there is still white film left on the tubes, you will need to find something sharp like a razor blade to remove the remaining white film. Take the razor blade and run it gently along the tubes to scrape off the white film, take care not to press too hard. Use another alcohol wipe to clean up the residue. Note: Just get the white film that you can reach. Do note take the cell block apart to get more

5) Wipe out the chassis as best as you can to remove the white dust that has fallen and any debris in the chassis.

Make sure to let the unit dry for a minute before continuing to the next step

6) Carefully place the cell block back into the chassis making sure to line up the holes for the screw.

Reassemble the screws and nuts

7) Place the black end cap back onto the unit making sure to line up the holes and secure the end cap with the black nylon bolts you took off earlier

6) There are 4 bolts holding the brackets that support the ozone generator. One person, outside the cabinet, should use a 7/16 wrench to hold the head of the bolt while one person inside the cabinet uses a 7/16 wrench to remove the nut. Repeat for the other 3 nuts. Support the ozone generator before removing the last nut

7) Dismount the ozone generator

8) Reverse the procedure to re-install after you clean the unit

Please note that the ozone sensor in the cabinet will need to be replaced annually. Please contact us by phone (1-877-262-5801) or email steve@sanisport.ca to replace the sensor. The approximate cost per sensor is $500. Pricing is subject to change. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
