About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document addressing court reporter service requirements for a federal contract opportunity.

The document clarifies two key requirements: (1) court reporters must provide in-person attendance at this time, though virtual participation may become available if directed by the Judge or Agency at a later date; and (2) the Agency prefers stenographic court reporters over certified digital court reporters because stenographic reporters can provide real-time read-backs during hearings. While the end product and delivery requirements would be equivalent, the Agency's stated preference for stenographic capabilities indicates that proposals should prioritize this service type to meet the hearing support needs specified in the solicitation.
