About this file

This document is a two-page informational flyer about the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard's new virtual queuing system called QLess. The system allows visitors to join a line remotely using a mobile app or online kiosk, eliminating the need to physically wait in line at the Pass Office. Users can join the virtual line by scanning a QR code, visiting a web kiosk, or speaking with a Pass Office Greeter, and will receive text message updates about their queue position. The system enables users to see their real-time line position, move back in line if needed, and receive immediate notifications when it's their turn, providing flexibility to wait wherever they choose instead of standing in a physical line.

The flyer provides detailed instructions for three ways to join the virtual line: online via a web kiosk, in-person through a Pass Office Greeter, or by downloading the QLess Mobile Queuing app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. When joining, users provide their cell phone number, first name or initial, and specify the service they need. The system is operated by NAVSEA (Naval Sea Systems Command) at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, and aims to improve visitor experience by giving people more control over their waiting time and reducing physical queuing.
