Please confirm this is a requirement of this project.

Provide standing seam metal panel roof system with PEMB structural primary and secondary framing members to support the required point loads. Roof deck is not required.

B10 Superstructure System Description – calls for the building to be 202’ wide. Appendix A – Clearance Sketch shows the crane have a span of 100’-0” centerline to centerline of rails. This would equate to a building width of approximately 216’-0” +/-. Please confirm if the building width needs to be held to 202’-0” and the crane span adjusted to fit within the building width or if the building width needs to be increased to fit the crane span.

Overall building proportion and dimensions will have some flexibility to meet the other design requirements, but provide minimum square footages and functionally-required minimums prescribed for the spaces.

Part 3 - Chapter 6 / ESR D40 Fire Protection states: "Work includes partial demolition of the existing sprinkler system and the existing sprinkler riser in the demo portion of the building and providing a new sprinkler riser in the existing to remain area." Can a version of these diagrams be provided that has more readable text?

Files are being provided for your use.

3 and 5 part 3 / chap 4 and 6

The Shops/Ailses space diagram appears to to have overhead doors on all 4 sides. Para B10 describes mechanical and office wings as being on "left" and "right" respectively. We will understand that the Mechanical wing and Office wing will be attached, as separate wings, on the narrow end of the Shops/Aisles, with one of the two overhead doors to the Aisles between those wings.

Is that understanding correct? If not correct please clarify the governement's desire.

The configuration of the building is up to the design team. The preliminary design will be reviewed and ammended at the CDW workshop.

The areas will be separated structural due to code concerns.

Site visit

On the site visit most of the existing shops we saw had metal siding / liner panels as a ceiling under the metal purlins, but not under ridge frame members . We understand the purpose and need of these "ceilings" in shop spaces is only to discourage birds.

Please advise if this is wrong

The design intent of other facilities is not known.
