12/26/2024 3.1 Service Orders / J-1502000-03 Inventory Is the scope of Service Orders limited to devices listed in the Inventory?

NO. Not limited to devices listed in the inventory. Date QUESTION -Include Reference (Sect/Para/Page) GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

1/13/2025 Response to Q3, Amendment 0001 We have one more question for "Additional facilities, structures and equipment" in Service Orders. In general, the construction prime contractor provides one-year warranty of newly installed facilities after completion of construction. During the warranty period, will service equivalent to the Service Orders be provided by the construction prime contractor?

The warranty details are relevant to each construction contract. Typically, a warranty work is perfomed by the construction contractor as long as preventive maintenance is being done. Government will pursue work under warranty but may have to issue service orders under this maintenance contract as necessary.

1/16/2025 In 1502000-2.2.1, Certification, Training, and Licensing on Page 52 of the PWS, it states that “Personnel working on fire protection systems must be certified per UFC 3-600-02”. Is this certification equivalent to the Japanese government's certification as a Fire Protection Systems Personnel, "Shoubou Setsubishi (消防設備⼠)" ?

"Personnel working on fire protection systems must be certified per UFC 3- 601-02 Appendix A Navy Contract Technician Qualifications or must be certified "Shoubousetsubishi Koh-syu dai-yon-rui" or "Shoubousetsubishi Otsu-syu dai-yon-rui" issued by Prefectural Governor in Japan."

Announced UFC 3-600-02 was old version and will be replaced with UFC 3- 601-02. And additional information of Japanese government's certification follows after UFC 3-600-02 sentence above. Spec Item 2.2.1 of 1502000 has been updated by Amendment 0003.
