J-1502000-06.3 Page 1
REMARKS:
This Attachment lists up secondary unit/cubicle substations that are listed in J-1502000-03 series and that are or may be hooked up with generator during the power outage.
The generators, if they are hooked up to the listed secondary unit substations/cubicles, will be stopped by the Government prior to the Contractor’s work, and will be started on again upon the completion of the Contractor’s work. Therefore, the Contractor does not have to work on live energized substations.
The Contractor shall conduct close coordination with the Government about planned maintenance schedule, procedure, communication, and other matters related to generator in order to ensure work completion in safe manner.
This attachment was made based on the data of maintenance during Fiscal Year 2013’s annual power outage. A few more cubicles may or may not be hooked up with a generator, however, in any case these generator will be stopped during the Contractor’s maintenance work.
In addition, some cubicles that are not and will not be hooked up with generator but are located nearby a generator which is running during the contractor’s work are also listed up in this Attachment for informational purpose (refer to “Supplemental Information about Cubicles Near Generator”.) Most of them are soundproof type, but the Contractor may need proper ear protection in accordance with EM-385-1. In case the generator’s noise level is beyond acceptable range even with ear protection and may present safety concern or may prevent Contractor’s smooth work, immediately report to the Contracting Officer’s representative.
