About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the rental requirements for a 400kVA (320kW) portable diesel generator for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, specifically designed for deployment on top of a submarine. The generator must meet stringent specifications including EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards, ungrounded 3-phase power output between 450-480 VAC, a minimum 12-hour runtime at full load, and the ability to operate continuously in extreme outdoor conditions ranging from -10 to +110°F.

The SOW specifies detailed technical requirements for the diesel generator, including a 4-stroke diesel engine, brushless synchronous alternator, UL 142-rated double-wall fuel tank, weatherproof sound-attenuated enclosure, and a maximum physical size of 210 in (L) x 65 in (W) weighing ≤ 19,000 lbs. Two specific Caterpillar models are pre-approved: XQ 375 and XQ 425, both Tier 4 Final with 420-gallon integrated base tanks. Contractors must provide comprehensive documentation, maintenance records, and comply with strict security requirements for personnel accessing Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
