QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS-2

The following is an answers to a questions received from potential offeror. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

1. When called by the COR/or Contracting Officer how far in advance will the hotel know how many rooms will be needed. Anywhere from 5-7 days.

2. How long is each of these training classes? Your sole responsibility regarding transportation is to provide at a minimum, at least 2 single trips each day (one from the hotel to the Training Center in the morning, and one from the Training Center back to the hotel in the afternoon). The TCHR director will set arrival times and departure times and will give as much advanced notice as possible. The TCHR schedule has to be flexible with different start and end times as needed. Summer bus schedules normally start early (~0600); winter schedule normally start around (~0800). Vendors must be flexible with the start time/end time of classes. If you need a copy of CIVMAR class schedule send an email to Efrem.mason@navy.mil. All CIVMARs will be expected to be transported at a certain time, regardless of when their specific class starts and ends.

3. If the primary hotel has to provide a sufficient number of rooms to be available at all times but CIVMAR doesn’t fill them will the Lodging facility still get paid since they’ve held these rooms and cannot resell the rooms or if there is a no show? The Government is only liable for and will only pay for the actual number of rooms used by the authorized CIVMARs.

4. Historically what is the average length of stay? I trust this coincides with the training classes? Classes can last from a two days to two weeks. The average length is 1 - 3 weeks.

5. Who was the prior incumbent and contract number? You will need to fill out a Freedom of Information Act Request for this information.
