HPAC ROUTINE B MAINTENANCE
1.0 ABSTRACT:
1.1 This item describes the requirement for a qualified and certified Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) SAUER Air Compressor field service representative to perform Routine B Maintenance on the High Pressure Air Compressors.

5.0 NOTES
5.1 The Contractor and all Subcontractors, regardless of tier, must consult Military Sealift Command’s General Technical Requirements (GTRs) to determine applicability to this work item. The Contractor and all Subcontractors, regardless of tier, must comply with all applicable GTR requirements.
5.2 The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall review other work items under this contract to determine their effect on the work required by this item. Based on this review the Contractor shall plan and schedule work to minimize conflicts between work items.
5.3 THE USNS LEWIS AND CLARK ELECTRICAL COLOR CODING DOES NOT FOLLOW CONSISTENT COLOR SCHEME. THE SHIP IS KNOWN TO HAVE CURRENT CARRYING CONDUCTORS COLORED GREEN, BLUE, BLACK AND WHITE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME ALL ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE HOT UNTIL TESTED OTHERWISE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TEST ALL ELECTRICAL CABLES TO ENSURE THEY ARE DEAD PRIOR TO WORKING ON THE ITEM.
6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None additional
7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED:
7.1 Provide the services of a certified SAUER Air Compressor Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) field service technician to perform maintenance on High Pressure Air Compressors 1 and 2.
7.2 Operationally test each air compressor prior to maintenance verifying compressor functionality and identify any additional required work not addressed in this work item. Operational test will be conducted in the presence of the ship’s Chief Engineer, 1ST Engineer or their designated representative.
7.3 Perform 2000 hour Routine B Maintenance on HP Air Compressors 1 and 2.
7.4 Perform post maintenance operational test verifying the air compressors are operating as per the design operating parameters stated in reference 2.1. Operational test will be conducted in the presence of the ship’s Chief Engineer, 1ST Engineer or their designated representative.
7.5 Provide a detailed service report in PDF format to the MSCREP documenting components replaced, repairs conducted and results of the operational test.
7.6 Manufacturer’s Representative:
