Questions and Answers: N0018922R0001

1. I don't see any listing for attempt.

a. RESPONSE: Attempted pick up and deliveries are addressed in the pricing schedule Attachment 3 to the solicitation under the “Attempted Pickup” and “Attempted Delivery” Items.

2. How will tolls be handled in area I, (eastern shore).

a. RESPONSE: Please refer to the solicitation instructions on page 39 states, “When drayage is necessary for the accomplishment of any item in the pricing schedule, the offeror shall include in the unit price any costs for bridges or ferry tolls, road use charges or similar expenses.”

3. Can we bill off a cube / Inventory sheet for Schedule III when a certified scale is not available.

a. RESPONSE: Please refer to the solicitation and Performance Work Statement included there for information regarding “Weighting”.

4. Is there a mileage comp for distances over 50 miles.

a. RESPONSE: Excess mileage is addressed in the pricing schedule Attachment 3 to the solicitation as “Drayage beyond the Contract Area of Performance” Items.

5. Is the daily minimum capability 50,000 pounds.

a. RESPONSE: NCWT 500 is the Government’s desired “minimum acceptable daily capability” for Schedule I & II and is NCWT 350 for Schedule III.

However, vendors can specific a minimum guarantee of less than those values in Attachment 2 of the solicitation, for the Government’s consideration.
