About this file

This is a Data Item Description (DID) document that defines requirements for Briefing Material to be delivered under federal contracts. The DID, numbered DI-MGMT-81605 and approved on 15 February 2001, is managed by the Office of Primary Responsibility G/TS-ALS under AMSC Number G7425. It specifies that briefing material serves to provide the Government with necessary materials to conduct formal or informal briefings as part of a contract deliverable.

The briefing material must meet three core requirements: it must be generated by a contract containing a specific and discrete work task, its content must address contractual effort areas identified by the Government on the DD Form 1423 (Contract Data Requirements List), and its format shall be in the contractor's format unless otherwise specified by the DD Form 1423 or the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). No applicable federal forms are required for this data item, and it is not subject to GIDEP applicability limitations.
