About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for an Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielded Chamber solicitation. The Q&A provides detailed technical specifications and clarifications about the chamber's construction, including confirmation that CLIN 0001 and CLIN 0002 are base bids for 100 dB attenuation enclosures without anechoic properties. Key technical details include: the chamber will require a concrete board base, have a structural steel frame anchored to the finished concrete floor, include brass nipples for power filter mounting, and require RF testing. Additional site-specific requirements include special badging for the crew, available lay down space, and no need for chilled water penetrations or additional electrical hook-ups. The chamber's interior will use standard sheet metal panel finishing, and no acoustic silencers or door maintenance kits are requested.
