ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE (EMI) SHIELDED CHAMBER

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The requiring activity is the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).

NSWCDD performs electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility testing to ensure warfighter safety and capability. has a requirement for an additional Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielded Chamber manufactured in accordance with (IAW) Specification to support for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and EMI testing.

2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

2.1 Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations;

2.2 Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines; and

2.3 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications.

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 The Contractor shall provide the following IAW the noted specifications:

3.1.1 Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielded Chamber (CLIN 0001)

The proposed equipment must meet the following minimum specifications:

27’x 16’ x 12’ shielded enclosure, without vinyl tile or raised flooring 1 8’ x 8’ RCM Double shielded door – Manual, Std. Threshold with Aluminum Ramp 1 4’ x 7’ RCM Single shielded door – Manual, Std. 3.1.2 Shielded Ante-Room (CLIN 0002 - Optional)

The proposed equipment must meet the following minimum specifications:

10' x 8' x 8’ shielded Ante-room without raised flooring 1 4’ x 7’ RCM Single shielded door – Manual, Std. Threshold 1 Low-EMI LED Lighting (Filtered) 1 12” x 12” Vents with dielectric connecting collars (Supply in ceiling) 1 24” x 24” Vent with dielectric connecting collars (Return inwall near floor) 1 24” x 24” Brass Penetration Panels (Blank) 2 60 Amp, Single-phase 120V Power Filter Cabinet, 60 Hz 1

3.1.3 Fire-Retardant Polystyrene or Polypropylene RF Absorber (CLIN 0003 - Optional)

Fire-retardant polystyrene or polypropylene RF Absorber with Ferrite tile to meet minimum reflectivity requirements in below table. Ferrite tile and absorber shall cover 100% of all 4 sides and top of the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielded Chamber (CLIN 0001) only (~ 1464 sqft).

Absorber/tile combined height shall not exceed a total of 18 inches.

3.2 The Contractor shall furnish all labor required to perform the installation for the chamber onsite at NSWCDD.

3.2.1 The Contractor shall provide the final list of materials to the technical point of contact (TPOC) for review and confirmation that the final materials continue to meet the minimum specifications prior to the vendor procuring the materials and within 7 calendar days after the receipt of the order.

3.3 The Contractor personnel shall wear personal protective equipment IAW OSHA regulations and CDC guidelines throughout the project.

3.4 The Contractor shall protect Government property from damage or disfigurement.

3.5 The Contractor shall keep all supplies, equipment, and tools out of traffic lanes or other areas where they might create a hazard.

3.6 At the end of each work period, the Contractor shall secure all supplies, equipment and tools.

3.7 The Contractor shall perform all work during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 0800 – 1700.

3.8 The Contractor shall coordinate with the TPOC identified below to schedule the installation of the chamber.

*The Contractor shall not perform any services outside of the items funded on the purchase order.

The Government reserves the right to modify this contract at a later date to cover the optional services/components identified if needed.

4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED PROPERTY/MATERIAL/INFORMATION

(GFP/GFM/GFI)

4.1 The Government does not anticipate any government furnished property, materials, or information for this effort.

4.2 The Government will prepare the facility space prior to the installation. Electricity is available at the site.

5.0 SECURITY

The work to be performed under this contract is unclassified.

6.0 TRAVEL

The Contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
