About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) from Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) – Weapon Systems Support (WSS) regarding additive manufacturing capabilities for naval components.
NAVSUP WSS is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of designing, producing, and delivering end items using additive manufacturing methods for piece part components or entire assemblies. The Government seeks information from qualified businesses on their ability to meet manufacturing, material, performance, testing, and quality assurance requirements. The RFI also solicits industry feedback on contracting structures, specifically performance-based incentives under Firm-Fixed-Price contracts, and recommendations for competitive evaluation criteria. The candidate NIINs for additive manufacturing are listed in Attachment 1, though this list is subject to change and does not constitute a final determination for AM use or guarantee future solicitations. The Government anticipates that Level I/SUBSAFE items may be eligible for additive manufacturing in the future.
Vendors must submit responses in PDF format to hannah.m.forsyth.civ@us.navy.mil with the subject line "Request for Information: NAVSUP WSS Additive Manufacturing N0010427RZ058" by the deadline indicated in the posting. Required response information includes: administrative details (company name, CAGE code, DUNS/UEI, business size classification); manufacturing capabilities and subcontracting intentions; facilities, equipment, and relevant certifications (ISO 9001, AS9100, Level 1/NAVSEA approvals, AM modalities, post-processing capabilities); past performance examples with contract numbers; mailing list preference; feedback on performance-based FFP contract incentives; and recommendations for competitive evaluation criteria. Government-furnished drawings, Technical Data Packages, and 3D CAD models will not be provided. Respondents are encouraged to register their AM capability in the NAVSUP Interested Vendor Database. This is market research only; no contract will be awarded, and the Government is not obligated to reimburse respondents for submission costs.
