About this file

This document is a Bidders Questions file for Solicitation N00024-25-R-2301, addressing Post Shakedown Availabilities (PSAs) for DDG 51 Class Ships at Norfolk, VA. The file contains seven questions and corresponding government responses related to solicitation details, with amendments issued to clarify and correct various sections. Key clarifications include updates to Attachment S-2 work items, confirmation that the Master Program Schedule can be an appendix excluded from page limits, and resolution of performance period discrepancies.

The solicitation, issued by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), seeks a contractor to perform PSAs for DDG 124 and DDG 127, with periods of performance spanning from 30-June 2026 to 30-Sep-2026 and 30-May-2027 to 31-Aug-2027. The government has specified a 16-week (112-day) PSA, with the last two weeks dedicated to Ship's Force LOA and PRTs. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing), and contractors were provided opportunities to seek clarification on schedule, work items, and proposal requirements through this Q&A process.
